Description:
Small size active bird with distinctive appearance, mostly yellowish-green. Has prominent white eye-ring, black bill and lores, green to yellowish-green upperparts, bright yellow throat and vent, and rest of underparts are whitish with variable greyish wash. Bill dark brown to black.
Distribution:
Possible resident in the south-western border areas of Diamer district. Usually found in open deciduous forest, broadleaf evergreen/semi-evergreen forest, forest edge, secondary growth, groves, gardens and orchards, from plains to 2500m.
Behavior:
Highly gregarious, in flocks of 3-30. Often forages by hover-gleaning, and generally found high up in tree canopy. Omnivorous. Vegetable matter includes small buds, seeds, fruits and nectar; animal food mostly insects. Animal food includes praying mantis larvae, weevils, bugs, ants, caterpillars and small flies, also spiders and mites.
